11 Habits That Nourish Your Happiness

We all need to be happy and everyone desire so but more often than not we tend to be unhappy and somewhat depressed, not because we deserve or planned for it but because it's part of nature.

Yeah once in a while nature permits us to be unhappy as things can't always go right. It's normal!

Now let's face the fact, there are more benefits to being happy than letting our sad emotions due to heartbreaks, disappointment, failure and more to weigh us down and deprive us of the good things life has to offer.

You don't seem to agree that there are benefits to be being happy? Okay I'll list out some.

°°Happiness is like magnet, it attracts positive thinkers and friends.

°°Happiness help us see life to be easy and this enable us face the challenges of life.

It's enough, happiness is just the right culture everyone should possess!

The Bitter Fact

There's no way to stop being unhappy, like giving it a permanent stop. We can't cheat nature, life will always throws challenges at us, not to weigh us down but to strengthen us.

The Good News

There isn't a permanent way of putting unhappiness to final stop but there are some habits that'll help you to be happy always and prevent activities that might lead to unhappiness. So at least 80% of happiness is guaranteed and there wouldn't be any room for prolonged sadness.


What are these habits? The habits is exactly what I'll unveil in this post. I'll list out habits that nourish our happiness instead of hurting it.



My Story

When I started this blog, I was unhappy for so many reasons, some that got me upset was the fact that I wasn't getting enough traffic, and making any real good traffic from my blog but there was actually nothing I can do than to strive harder.

I started diverse kind of promotions to drive traffic to my blog and at least make some affiliate sales. I was on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and all around the web, I wanted to get traffic by all means.

But, something happened! I was always unhappy and kept hating on my self because I wasn't getting the expected output. It grew worst to the point I always sleep off in the process of promoting my blog. At the end I'll wake up sad and angry for sleeping on duty and haven wasted time meant for something reasonable.

What was actually wrong?
I later discovered that two things was the cause of my problem and less productivity despite striving hard. What are they?

1.No Break
I learnt that working without taking break to rest and do some other fun stuff was actually the reason why I was unhappy and less productive. So a good habit is creating a resting schedule for yourself!

2.I Wasn't Checking My Health
I was so busy blogging that I forget to do some medical check up, I guess I was lacking appetite and that resulted me to sleeping on duty.

So you've seen my two problem? Now what I actually did to overcome was to make taking a break during work my habit and also having a medical check up schedule. This way I was able to work gallantly, productively and happily

Those were the habits that nourished my happiness, they're just two! Below are some more habits that'll nourish your happiness and make you more productive.

1.Be Positive

Being positive at all time will help nourish your happiness. You shouldn't think about odd times and about things that'll go wrong, rather think about previous achievement, your motivation and strategy. Don't be negative by thinking you've failed or there isn't any hope.

2.Stop Saying Yes To Everything!

I've discovered things always go sour because we are always saying to yes to everything!

We don't question our ideas to see it's genuineness, rather we feel they're superb.

We sometimes say yes to join the moving train, we shouldn't say Yes to everything. The successful people are those that says No often.

So we should learn to say more no than Yes.

3.Save & Invest And Make Money!

You'll agree, you ain't happy when you're financial down, living a paycheck to paycheck and when you're not properly using money. You agree? I guess No!😃

To avoid this you should develop the habit of saving money, investing and also making money.

You shouldn't live on one income stream, you should look for ways to create yourself a multiple streams of income.

This way you'll experience less financial crisis and be happy than ever!

4.Stay Away From Conversation That May Hurt Your Happiness.

Not all conversation are healthy, so you should walk out on unhealthy conversation.

When I'm out or having some chats, I'm very careful not to raise topics that'll hurt me in return and I quickly dismiss myself if such topic is raised by someone else.

Maybe it's a topic that'll remind you about previous experience and would end up hurting your happiness. It could be anything else, just stay away from unhealthy conversation.

5.Stay Organized

When you're not organized, you won't have peace of mind and you'll be distressed. That's why it's best to develop the habit of staying organized.

To stay organized you might want to set goals, plan your strategy for achieving a thing, and more.

•Manage Time;
To stay organized you should learn to manage your time effectively!

•Rearrange Your Routine!
You should learn to rearrange your routine if they seem less productive or ain't working. Sticking to something that isn't a working will end up hurting you.

•Take A Break!
You can't keep working all day, you need to rest. If you work without resting you'll be used up and hence start feeling distressed and unhealthy.

6.Stop Living Your Life For Someone Else.

It's your life, isn't it? Everybody have his or her own life to live, so you shouldn't live your life to please people or someone.

If you're always pleasing people, you'll keep hurting yourself, learn to follow your heart and don't do anything because of someone. Maybe you want to maintain relationships and something else along the line.

7.Don't Receive Polls For Advise.

Lots of people are guilty of this, we tend to get advise from multiple source thinking it's the best way to get quality advise but it's not.

When you ask many people for advise, they share their thoughts and leave you to make final decision. Since your advise was gotten from many people, you'll find it hard to decide on which advise you should finalize on and you'll end up in a confuse state and trauma which in turn hurt your happiness.

So It's not actually advise but poll as it involve many people. If you want advise, you should meet a trusted friend or family member and relay your thought not getting polls and and up hurting your happiness.

8.Avoid Saying Bad About Someone.

Those that say bad about others ends up hurting their own happiness.

When you've said something bad about someone especially if it's untrue your conscience will keep disturbing you and you'll start feeling guilty. So you should totally avoild saying bad about others!

9.Apologize Immediately!

Our conscience isn't dead, if you're wrong it will hunt you and makes you sad and distressed.

So if you've wrong someone, apologize immediately and get it off your mind. If you don't you'll be hunt by your conscience and you'll be hurting your happiness.

10.Walk Out On Unhealthy Relationship!

Relationship if not healthy will often make us unhappy.

To avoid this, we should learn to quit such relationship to nourish our happiness. It maybe any kind of relationship!

It is very common with intimate relationship, when the love is one sided, the relationship becomes unhealthy. Such relationship should be avoided, love shouldn't be for one person.

11.Pay Attention To Your Health

You should assign a schedule for doing medical check ups to know if you're fit.

Don't work like forever, take care of your health first. As the say health is wealth.

Final Thoughts

Happiness is like a growing flower, it wither if not taken care of. So it's your responsibility to take care of your happiness.

It's widely said, it takes 21 days to form a habit. Make this tips your habits and nourish your happiness. You may not need all, it's fine. Practice any relevant habit and stay happy!
